Glanz sodium (son) floodlight is for domestic or general use. The fitting has a polycarbonate body construction making it anti vandal resistant. The clear light projecting lens coupled with a symmetric aluminium reflector offer an excellent spread of illumination over wide areas. The main advantages of sodium lighting is that is it able to provide lighting which is soft and does not have the harsh glare of Metal Halide (HQI) lighting. Another advantage, is the low cost of running this fitting, whilst only using 70 watts of electricity with an expected lamp life of 12,000 hours and providing the equivalent light to a 300 watt tungsten halogen with an expected lamp life of only 1500 hours.
